The name's Patrice Gardner (She/Her). I am a Product & Creative Designer based in Dallas, TX. A lover of all things creative and an observer of society, my design journey spans over eight years, and counting. Navigating through this field is daring, but has come with unique opportunities. A few roles I've held include UX/UI Designer, Art Director, Graphic Designer, Digital Designer, Project Coordinator, Program Manager, Creative Designer, and Communications and Design Manager. My experience ranges from start-ups to non-profits to big corporations. Each position has brought me great experience, allowing me to expand my skill set and support businesses authentically and genuinely. I’ve implemented successful creative strategies by leading with empathetic curiosity to improve functionality, inclusiveness, accessibility, and storytelling.

MY SUPERPOWER
As Louis L'Amour once wrote, "The only thing that never changes is that everything changes". Change is inevitable and the only way to keep up is to adapt. Being flexible and a critical thinker has helped me navigate a plethora of challenging environments. As a lover of animals, I tend to reference myself as an octopus, taking into consideration the brilliant animal's curiosity, intuitiveness, evolving nature, and problem-solving tactics.

I am initially a self-taught designer and learned Adobe Creative Suite through trial and error. Eventually I was able to enroll in a Masters program for communications and design, and the rest is history.

I love traveling and new experiences. A few of my favorite places I've been include Aruba, Thailand, and Curaçao.
